About Legal Aid

Maryland Legal Aid has been providing free civil legal services in Maryland for low-income people, children and the elderly since 1911. We offer a full range of civil legal services to financially qualified low-income Marylanders and people over age 60 from 13 offices around the state. Legal Aid provides legal assistance in family, consumer, housing, education, employment and income maintenance matters; also help for abused and neglected children, the elderly, nursing home residents, and migrant and seasonal farm workers.
